Director of Dance
Laura Baldo
After completing full dance training at The Urdang Academy studying ballet and performing arts Laura went on to work as a professional dancer in both musical theatre and commercial dance companies. Laura founded Just Dance Academy in 2009 after working as a dance instructor in both Scotland and London. Laura brings an all round, in depth knowledge of the performing arts to Just Dance Academy this is demonstrated in her enthusiasm and passion for the academy and its students.
Laura Yates
Laura is the latest addition to Just Dance Academy's teaching staff. Having graduated from The Urdang Academy in BA (hons) Professional Dance and Musical Theatre Laura will begin studying for her PGCE in dance teaching at "The Royal Academy of Dance" in August 2011.
Laura performed with the female street dance group "Stance" where she performed at "Move it 2010" and "EC1 Pride of People Awards Show".
In addition, Laura performed as a vocalist in the Lord Mayors Show at St Paul's Cathedral.
Jemma King
Jemma King joined Just Dance Academy in 2010. Jemma's training includes six years at The Urdang Academy of Performing Arts London she specialised in hip hop at the broadway dance centre in New York and has a degree in dance, in association with edinburgh telford college. Jemma has worked in both the commercial and theatre industry and has proved a popular and enthusiastic member of the Just Dance Academy Team.
Bboy Cem
Cem is Just Dance Academy’s resident BbOY. Expert in all things break dance his enthusiasm for hip hop and Bboying shines when instructing our students. He continues to compete in local and national Bboy championships both as an individual and with his crew. Cem instructs a number of master classes for all students throughout the term. Lucy Miller
Lucy graduated from The Urdang Academy with a first class honours degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre in 2011. Lucy instructs Ballet classes ranging from our Baby ballet students through to our Adult members. She studied the RAD Ballet Syllabus. As well as working with Just Dance Academy Lucy has also worked with the National Youth Music Theatre.
